2019 Club Excellence Results Announced
USA Swimming announced today that Delta Aquatics is the recipient of Bronze Medal Status in the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program.
For the second year in a row Delta Aquatics earned Bronze Recognition in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program, recognizing the organization’s 200 highest-performing clubs that execute strong, well-rounded programs in the development of athletes 18 years and younger. Earning a Gold, Silver or Bronze ranking has become a highly coveted honor for USA Swimming club teams. The competition to earn a Club Excellence ranking continues to be more and more challenging.
“USA Swimming is fortunate to have tremendous athletes and coaches doing incredible work at the club level from coast to coast. The clubs who have earned Gold, Silver or Bronze honors represent the best of the best, and they are laying the groundwork for the future success of USA Swimming at the international level,” said USA Swimming Managing Director of Sport Development Joel Shinofield.
Delta Aquatics is honored to be named a Bronze Level Team in the Club Excellence Program. This honor for reflects the collective hard work & dedication of our athletes and our coaches, along with the tremendous support of our families. Some of the clubs on the recognition list have 1,000+ members while we are under 200 currently. This goes to show how well our coaches are developing swimmers at the Age Group level to allow them to reach their full potential at the senior level. But most importantly, it shows it's truly a ‘team effort’ for us to help every young athlete in our program reach their highest potential.
USA swimming has almost 3,000 year round swim clubs. 200 are recognized annually through the club recognition program, 20 Gold, 80 Silver, 100 Bronze.
